2009 Christmas Drama “Deafville USA II”

Woodhaven Baptist Deaf Church presents Christmas Drama 2009 “Deafville, USA II.” A continuation from last year’s play, Deafville is a small town somewhere in America.  It’s a small Deaf town where people gather and share in their struggles and blessings in everyday life.  The story of this year’s play is inspired by a real family and actual events.  Like every other family, members of this particular family went through a dark period in their lives.  Come see how they weathered the storm and share in the experience. continue »

Children of a Lesser God

Dionysus Theatre presents Mark Medoff’s “Children of a Lesser God”. Opening up their 12th season, Dionysus Theatre brings this beautiful play to fruition with an inclusive cast. Casting actors who are deaf, hearing impaired and of hearing, this show explores the relationship of James Leed and Sarah Norman. James Leed, a teacher at the school for the deaf falls in love with Sarah, a woman who is profoundly deaf.
