Mayor Parker to attend Deaf PIP meeting

The Houston Police Department Deaf Positive Interaction Program (PIP) meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 6 at 7:30 PM at Woodhaven Deaf Baptist Church (9920 Long Point). Minor updates on Houston Deaf Awareness Week (DAW) event on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Woodhaven Baptist Deaf Church from 10am-4pm. Free admission, entertainment, games and door prizes. Church will sell food if you are hungry. There will be 28 vendors on site this year so bring the whole family! Also, we will have FREE flu shots for kids from 10 am to 2 pm, come on and get your kids a flu shot. For more information, contact Kathy Walters, Houston DAW Chairperson at kathyladell@yahoo.com.
