The recent protest and rally at the Hosting City Hall against the forced use of the VRI was very successful and lit a FIRE under the Houston Deaf community to continue to focus on the discrimination and violations against the Deaf. Under the sponcership of the CAPSULE GROUP there will be a workshop on September 17th (Saturday) from 2pm till 5pm at MMSC, 1475 West Grey Street. Many Deaf think that ADA protects them from discrimination and violations but ADA has no teeth without input from the Deaf community… this means YOU. We want you to attend the FOCUS GROUP on Saturday the 17th and share your experiences that have left you upset and unhappy. Don’t be mad, do something! There will be lite snacks and drinks provided for those attending. We really hope you will come to MMSC and be part of the “voice” that speaks for the Deaf.
