Hi! My name is Sapna Bhatt, and I am a hearing high school student. During my high school experience, I was introduced to ASL and quickly fell in love with Sign Language and American Deaf Culture! However, the more I learned from the Deaf Community, the more I heard about their struggles, and what struck me the most was how their accessibility to medical care is hindered due to faults within the medical field and other underlying factors.

This is why I wish to interview deaf/HoH individuals on their experiences as patients and publish my findings on a Youtube channel I am making! I plan on conducting these interviews over Google Meets (using ASL or Spoken English-depending on the interviewee’s preference), and if you are interested in being interviewed, please fill out the form!
