			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Attention: Diabetics and those with family members with Diabetes. The Lillian Beard Deaf Connection Center will be having their 2nd in a series of five, Diabetic Management Work Shops. <span id="more-17217"></span></p>
<p>This months topics are “How to have a better Doctor’s visit, and Learning How to Read Food Labels.” The class will start at 10am with a break at 11am for light snacks. Be sure to eat a good breakfast.</p>
<p>Come and learn important questions you need to ask Doctor, and what tests you should have done to improve your Diabetes Management. Then have fun reading food labels and discover how that can help you manage your Diabetes better.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This is a FREE sign language women’s Bible study and all are welcome! We will meet for 12 weeks on Wednesdays from Jan. 25th – April 18th (with a week off for Spring Break on Wed. March 14th). We will meet from 7:00-9:00 pm. The location is at Lone Star College-CyFair, ART 204, 9191 Barker Cypress Rd, Cypress, TX 77433. <p>The video portion of the study will be interpreted and the group discussion will all be held in sign language. Deaf and hearing signers are both welcome. Women from all faith backgrounds are welcome! Our first meeting on January 25th will be a fun meet and greet with snacks provided. Come out to the campus and bring your friends! Here is a description of the study:</p>
<p>“As Beth Moore teaches in Breaking Free: The Journey, The Stories, with God’s power you can change the course of your life. This 11-session, DVD-driven, updated edition includes testimonies from real women like you. Read their stories of redemption as you face your own strongholds, overcome them, and change your story. If where you are isn’t where you want to be, don’t stay there. Break free!”</p>

<p>We would like to invite you to the HBDA meeting on January 21 from 2pm-4pm. Please support HBDA. We look forwards to having a Black History event in February.<span id="more-17104"></span></p>
<p>It will be wonderful moment for us. We will have deaf speakers. The meeting will be at the Lillian Beard Connection Center. Please refer to the map and directions below.</p>

In order for us to be successful, we need volunteers fluent in American Sign Langauge (ASL). The volunteers are asked to participated in a tax training course and take the test to become a certified tax preparer. </p>
