Friday, December 27th, the monthly Fourth Friday Social of North Houston will be held at Chick-fil-A. Located at 4410 North Freeway (Interstate 45 North) Houston 77022, at the intersection of the Freeway and Crosstimbers. The starting time is 5:30pm and we will continue to fellowship and sign until 10 pm closing.
Everyone is welcome and please see me, Robert, for a coupon for a free chicken sandwich or chicken nuggets before ordering your meal. A large crowd is expected as the Deaf community will be un-winding from the excitement of Christmas. Most all students will be on break and this social is a great opportunity to use ASL on ever level. Merry Christmas to all and see you at the social.

On Saturday December 28th there will be a White Elephant Party at Woodhaven Deaf Baptist Church. If you have never been to one, the party is a lot of fun and much fellowship.
We will meet in the fellowship hall of the church, which is located st 9920 Long Point Road, Houston, Tx 77055 and the times will be from 2pm until 5pm. Everyone is ask to being a gift from home, something you can no longer use or something you feel would be better of with another person. However, should you chose to being a gift you purchased please limit its value to $10. Everyone, including children, is invited to attend the party.
A charity, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, will benefit from donations from those who wish to contribute.

The SHO (Show of Hands) student club will sponsor a BBQ social on November 23rd at Pappas BBQ located at 703 West F.M. 1960, Houston , Tx. 77090 (just west of Interstate 45/North Freeway). Keep in mind that there are several other Pappas and make sure you come to the right one. The social will begin at 5pm and continue until 9pm. The entire Deaf community and all ASL students of our local colleges are welcome to enjoy a fun time of signing in real-time with old friends and to make new friends. The ASL Students of the Lone Star College system will have their club, SOH, social at the Main Event Entertainement center located at 19441 Interstate 45, just north of the Woodlands Mall. The social will begin Saturday, October 12th at 5pm and continue until 10pm.
Main Event has, in addition to a full menu and drinks, games of bowling, laser tag, shuffleboard, billiard and video games. All age groups can have a wonderful time. Come on out and enjoy a time of signing with the deaf community and the ASL students of the local colleges. See you there.
