Sagemont Church Deaf social 3/1/2014

ASL Social 2/22/14 – Baytown

We are having a Social on February 22, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. in “the Overflow” at Second Baytown. The address in 6227 North Main in Baytown 77520.

WHO IS INVITED? All Deaf, Hard of Hearing, their families & friends, ASL students and anyone else who would like to make new friends (Deaf and hearing), have fun, and improve their ASL skills. Special Performance by the REL ASL Club.

There has long been a lack of a place in the east Houston/Baytown area where families can come together and we hope look forward to having this every month so come out and join us for our first Baytown Deaf/ASL Social.

We will have snacks but you are also welcome to bring your favorite dish or snack.

Come celebrate the new year with us at our church’s Deaf social! Sagemont Church will host its monthly Deaf social on January 11, 2014, from 6 to 8 P.M. in The Hall. We normally hold our social on the first Saturday of every month, but this month we will meet on the second Saturday to give people on vacation time to get home. Look for signs in the church parking lot and inside the church to guide you to the social. We look forward to seeing you there!

Post-Christmas Fourth Friday Social

Friday, December 27th, the monthly Fourth Friday Social of North Houston will be held at Chick-fil-A. Located at 4410 North Freeway (Interstate 45 North) Houston 77022, at the intersection of the Freeway and Crosstimbers. The starting time is 5:30pm and we will continue to fellowship and sign until 10 pm closing.

Everyone is welcome and please see me, Robert, for a coupon for a free chicken sandwich or chicken nuggets before ordering your meal. A large crowd is expected as the Deaf community will be un-winding from the excitement of Christmas. Most all students will be on break and this social is a great opportunity to use ASL on ever level. Merry Christmas to all and see you at the social.

White Elephant Party at Woodhaven

On Saturday December 28th there will be a White Elephant Party at Woodhaven Deaf Baptist Church. If you have never been to one, the party is a lot of fun and much fellowship.
We will meet in the fellowship hall of the church, which is located st 9920 Long Point Road, Houston, Tx 77055 and the times will be from 2pm until 5pm. Everyone is ask to being a gift from home, something you can no longer use or something you feel would be better of with another person. However, should you chose to being a gift you purchased please limit its value to $10. Everyone, including children, is invited to attend the party.

A charity, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, will benefit from donations from those who wish to contribute.
