ASL Programs at Big Thicket National Preserve

Let’s go to Big Thicket National Preserve! Participate in a ranger-led hike on a forest trail, a paddle on a water trail, or storytelling and learning in the visitor center. All of these individualized activities are led by a ranger fluent in ASL. Find out why the Big Thicket National Preserve is such an important place…And find YOUR place in it!

Individualized, ASL tours are held on Thursdays anytime between 9am to 5pm. Contact Ranger Tera Lynn Gray for more information or to schedule your fun program. (teralynn_gray@nps.gov)

Hi! I’m Ranger Tera Lynn! I am hearing, but am fluent in ASL. I am a former principal of the Employability Center at the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind. 3 years ago, I decided to change careers and now love sharing our national parks with the Deaf community. I hope you will come play with me at the Preserve!
