Greater Harris County 9-1-1 Emergency (GHC9-1-1) has implemented a new 9-1-1 emergency texting service for residents who are deaf, hard-of-hearing or speech impaired. The service is available ONLY in Harris and Fort Bend Counties. The new texting service allows a resident to text a special short code 442911 to connect with a 9-1-1 call center within Harris and Fort Bend Counties.

Announcing a new emergency service for residents who are deaf or hard-of-hearing TEXTING TO A 9-1-1 CALL CENTER IS NOW AVAILABLE!
On Wednesday, May 1, 2013, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., MOPD, the Houston Fire Department and the Greater Harris County 9-1-1 Emergency Network will provide training for individuals who cannot make a voice call to 9-1-1, assist people in registering for the text service and provide free visual fire alarms to qualified participants who are deaf or hard of hearing at the Metropolitan Multi-Service Center (MMSC) at 1475 West Gray Street, Houston 77019. The Rose is a 26 year existing non-profit in Houston serving women with mammograms, bone density and related diagnostic cancer screening services.
What is unique about The Rose is that we help uninsured women who can’t afford their care. If you have insurance, consider having your mammogram with us.
