Deaf Chat Coffee is for enjoyable, family-oriented, smoking-free fun! It is a great get-together event for anyone to come and learn while meeting people. Deaf Chat Coffee usually get together at many different places. The types of places varied from places to places on who host the events. There is no charge for admission and you are not required to purchase anything at Starbucks. However we do encourage you to buy something at their shop.     I am deaf/HoH and looking to make some friends who know ASL. I need to learn since I am struggling communicating with the world at this time. My friends (or what they call themselves anyway) have become very distant because it is very awkward to hang out with hearing people and not be able to be a part of the conversation. I am planning on being at the coffee chat on 6/17/11 at the 1960 location. If you see me, please do say “Hi”, i am 25yrs old, short brown hair, and very petite. I hope I can get to know many of you! :)
