The Speaker: Brian Determan, an ASL – native deaf individual, serves as a Deafness Resource Specialist with Communication Axess Ability Group for Houston and surrounding counties. The Deafness Resource program is funded by TX DARS (Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services) – Office for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services. Brian works with agencies and service providers regarding their access obligations under the Americans and with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act.
